This project is a subset of the Democracy 2.0 project. One of the key elements or capabilities of the Alternatives Testing Model of Democracy 2.0 (D2) must be the ability to represent populations and especially the spread of ideas within them. In this research endeavor I examined what we need to know or be able to do to represent their spread within an agent-based computational model. The most important contribution of this paper/project is the development of a symbolic algebra to formalize and represent the mechanisms by which ideas pass from one person to another. This algebra helps one develop the algorithms that would be used within the computational model.
Here is the paper.
